Monday 19th September – sunrise walk ***** – Felixstowe prom – sunny but chilly.

Being the sad day of the Queens funeral Mag and I decided to get up early, walk down to the seafront at the end of the road with a flask to catch the sunrise and lovely it was too:) Fleeces were the order of the day as it was a tad on the chilly side, the wind was still in the north, offshore and lighter than of late making it a pleasant stroll, quiet too, just the odd jogger, dog walker, a single paddle boarder and a few open wate swimmers. We sat on the seat at the end of The Fludgers to have our warming cuppa as the sun appeared above a bank of cloud out to sea and I got some nice pics, one of which was included on BBC’s Look East weather:) We then ambled back with deep blue skies and brilliant sunshine, the best part of the day as it clouded over later. Home for breakfast, sort out my photos before spending all day watching the funeral with our son Dan with partner Jay joining us, nice family day, my favourite pat was when the piper walked away and the sound slowly disappeared!
